Movie icon Pam Grier, old school may remember her as Coffy, Foxy Brown, Friday Foster or Jackie Brown, will be honored at the North Carolina film festival next month. I’m glad to see this sister getting some recognition and is still in the game. From accessatlanta.com -

PAM GRIER will forever be known as a “blaxploitation” queen for her 1970s movies, but her career is far more diverse than that. She’ll be honored next month at the RiverRun International Film Festival in her hometown of Winston-Salem, N.C. The Winston-Salem Journal reports Thursday March 27, 2008 that Grier will receive a master of cinema award during the RiverRun International Film Festival in Winston-Salem. The festival runs April 23-28.
