Singer India.Arie is known for her soulful music, her expressive clothing, her political statements and her main prop — her guitar. Arie grew up in and still lives in Atlanta — and recently made an appearance at January’s Trumpet Awards. A month later, though, she staged a mini-boycott of the 50th Grammy Awards.
